'We just gotta stop the killing': Hearses roll through Baltimore to protest gun violence
BALTIMORE (WBFF) - It was an impressive showing Friday from Baltimore funeral directors.
A long procession of hearses rolled through the city in protest against gun violence.
Keith Daniels talked to residents in west Baltimore, where they put the spotlight on the consequences of shootings.
It was a unique and somber way to call attention to what's happening on city streets.
Local ministers stopped to pray on street corners.
But the image of several empty hearses in a procession along North Avenue, from the west side to the east side, really captured what this moment was all about.
It comes as the city grapples with a stunning and steady increase of murders, nearly 230 so far this year, with a 15-year-old boy shot and killed Tuesday.
