Worker injured, driver killed in 695 crash Wednesday
WOODLAWN, Md. (WBFF) - A highway worker was injured and another person killed after a pick-up truck crashed into a State Highway Administration truck Wednesday evening.
The accident happened at about 9:45 p.m. on the I-695 inner loop just before I-70, reported Maryland State Police Thursday morning.
The driver of the silver 2004 Ford Freestar pick-up truck drifted into the right shoulder for unknown reasons and rear-ended the SHA truck, said police.
It is not known if alcohol or drugs were a factor.
The worker is out of the hospital and resting at home as of Thursday morning, said police.
The driver in the Ford, who has not been identified, was taken to Northwest Hospital and later died.
