Do you think the balloon boy incident was a publicity stunt?

94.28% Yes
5.71% No

Comment: The father is into UFOs. The so-called "weather balloon" looks more like a flying saucer than a weather balloon. The father "guided" the search of the house but missed where Falcon was hiding. Hours later they are already on Larry King and Today. The Colorado police were conned and are embarrassed. from Baltimore, MD by Steve

Comment: Just look at how fast the media picked up the story and ran with it. from baltimore md by kenneth

Comment: I thought that the minute I saw which family it was because I saw them on Wife Swap a couple of months ago. That family, especially the father loves the public attention. Just as, I believe the father is controlling and mentally unstable. I think Colorado should bill the parents for the extreme and unnecessary resource costs incurred for this publicity stunt. from Catonsville, Maryland by SGJ

Comment: Yes, it was all planned. Falcon said it was for the show. Six year olds just don't know how to lie very good. They tend to tell the truth more offend then not. I have a six year old grandson and I know first hand. They should have to pay all the money back to the state and federal government for there time from Edgewood by Scott B.

Comment: Tis is pure Hollywood, they should pay for all the expenses. by Hector

Comment: The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I'm sure the kid learned how to get attention from watching his father work so hard for attention. If the father wasn't in on it I'd be surprised, but that kid was hiding from everyone on purpose! from Kent Island, MD by Buddy

Comment: I feel the family was upset with all the coverage the Delaware Cub Scout got last week so they wanted to outdo it. from Pasadena, Md. by Tony

Comment: If this was a stunt then the parents should be prosecuted and made to pay back all the costs that was incurred and a investigation from social services would be appropriate from Glenburnie Md by John

Comment: people just want to make a big thing out of nothing. the child was safe, just be thankful for that. from balto,md by mel
