Is it appropriate to invite Rev. Jeremiah Wright to speak at an Anne Arundel County NAACP event?
Comment: Why not. If the 1st Amendment still has freedom of speech then he should be able to speak. But would the same accommodation be given to someone conservative and controversial. I think not. from Catonsville by Dan
Comment: Political grandstanding at it's best. from Pasadena, Md. by Tony
Comment: His sermons clearly show he's a racist. from baltimore md by kenneth
Comment: If the NAACP truly does not want to be viewed as racists, then they should not have a known racist/radical speak at their events. from Cordova, Md by Shirley
Comment: Yes, because the NAACP is revealing their true feelings and agenda openly. from Windsor Mill, MD by Thomas
Comment: the man is controversial and arragant. he should submit a copy of what he intends to say. at some point in life we must forgive and forget but not cave in, this we have not learned. we learn to kill but not help the killer. from columbie,md by jack
Comment: This is exactly what the concern is of Obama wanting to overthrow America and the damage it can do....stimulate the blacks into hating the whites. Al Sharpton hates whites. Jesse Jackson hates whites. Jeremiah Wright hates whites. Obama hates white America. David Duke is an ass. Inviting Jeremiah Wright is a mistake on the largest level. If Obama wants a race riot, we'll give to him. Obama is not a leader, not a president, but an embarrasment to the position of president. Listen, soon we will have more critical issues as a nation, like how to survive life. It should not matter what your race or beliefs are. Jeremiah Wright is evil. from timonium / md by Jim
Comment: I may not agree with the guy, but this is still America where free speech is still allowed. from Kent Island, MD by Buddy
Comment: I am ashamed to live in a County where the NAACP is so racially biased as to invite this man who hates America and everyone unless they are black. And by the way, Pres. Obama is not the first black president; he may be the first bi-racial president. He does not speak well of his black ancestry (his father), but was raised by his white mother and his white grandparents. Black people want to forget this about him. He is more white than black. by Chris
