American International Youth Student Exchange Program
American International Youth Student Exchange Program is currently seeking families to host high school students from Europe, South America, and Asia for the upcoming school year. The program offers qualified students a chance to spend a summer, semester or a school year with an America family as part of the home stay experience. Apprenticeship Program Enrollment
The Baltimore Metropolitan Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors, Inc is currently accepting applications for enrollment in the Apprenticeship Program. Trades are being offered in Electrical; Plumbing; Carpentry; Sheet Metal; Heating, Ventilation, Air Condition & Refrigeration; and Sprinkler Fitter. Arthritis Foundation - Disabilities Act Requirements
If you have arthritis or another disability and have trouble pumping your own gas or must pay full service because you can't. The Americans with disabilities act requires self-serve gas stations to provide equal access to customers with disabilities. External Diploma Program
Adults who are interested in an alternative way of earning their high school diploma should consider the MD External High School Diploma Program. Most graduates take six months to a year to finish the program. The program is self-paced and flexible, so each adult is able to adapt it to his or her needs. Expert Advice on Animals

Franciscan Center
Franciscan Center urgently needs Men's Clothes & Toiletries for the poor. The Franciscan Center is an emergency outreach program that provides a variety of programs, including a hot meal each weekday, a food pantry, clothing service and AIDS and emergency outreach. The Center has a critical need for used and new men's clothes and toiletry items to fill its clothing bank in order to continue providing emergency assistance to those in need. Needed items include: new, clean, or used items for me like t-shirts, dress shirts, under garments, work pants, dress pants, suits, jackets, ties, outerwear, socks, deodorant, soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, razors, shaving cream, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and wash clothes. Fuel Fund of Maryland
Fuel Fund of Maryland supplements resources for those experiencing hardship with essential home energy needs. They provide emergency assistance for low-income families who cannot pay their gas, electric or oil bills. HARBEL Free Homebuyer Workshop
The HARBEL Housing Partnership holds two to three workshops each month at various locations. Workshops include discussions on credit, budget, affordability, house hunting, home inspection, financing process and other Loan and Buyer programs. For reservations, call 410-444-9152.
The Hearing and Speech Agency
The Hearing and Speech Agency is dedicated to meeting the speech, language, and hearing needs of Maryland's children and adults. Many children and adults go without needed hearing aids because they cannot afford to buy them. The donation of a used hearing aid, even a broken one, can give the gift of hearing to a child or adult. The newly updated "Street Card", a Baltimore County Resource, is a folded, wallet-sized listing, available to homeless people. Hope Through Heroes

Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault
Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault is seeking African American or Caucasian woman who have survived a sexual assault. By participating in a University of Maryland research study and answering questions about your experience, you can help improve services and treatment for assault victims throughout Maryland . The MD SPCA mission is to prevent the cruel and neglectful treatment of animals and to foster the humane relationship between animals and people. They are a private, non-profit, independent organization. They operate primarily in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan Area. Sankofa Dance Theatre

The Anne Arundel County Public Library has teamed up with Tot's Line, a County information and referral service, to educate parents and caregivers on issues pertaining to caring for their newborn to five year-olds. Tot's Line offers a free help line for Anne Arundel County parents.
