In a Thursday interview with the Denver Post veteran Ravens wide receiver Brandon Stokley announced his decision to retire after this season. Stokley was placed on injured reserve on December 10 for a concussion.

The 37-year-old began his career with the Baltimore Ravens when he was drafted in 1999. In his interview with the Post, Stokley recalled one of his most memorable moments as being his 38-yard touchdown catch in the Ravens' Super Bowl XXXV victory, against the New York Giants.

When asked by the Post why he had made the decision to retire Stokley said it was "just time."

"I realized this year it was a tough year with a lot of injuries, I'm not getting any younger, he said. "At some point you have to realize its just time to move on."

Stokley also spent time with the Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos, New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks. He returned to Baltimore this year.

"I don't have any regrets," Stokley told the Post. "I feel like Im going out on my terms. I gave it everything I have...I'm at peace with my decision."
