Updated: Thursday, March 21 2013, 10:37 PM EDT

Maryland advances to the N.I.T. quarterfinals after a 62-52 win over Denver. The Terps trailed by three at halftime and looked uninterested at times. However, they battled back in the second half out-scoring the Pioneers by 13 in the final 20 minutes.

Sophomore guard Dez Wells led the Terps with 19 points. Freshman point guard Seth Allen put Maryland in front with 4:09 left in the game and they never lost the lead.

The Terps will play either Alabama or Stanford in the next round.
