Steelers Will Not Lose a Draft Pick for Tomlin's Actions During Thanksgiving Ravens Game

The NFL has decided the Pittsburgh Steelers will not lose a draft pick for the incident involving Coach Mike Tomlin in the Thanksgiving game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Tomlin was fined $100,000 for drifting onto the field during a kickoff return by Jacoby Jones, which forced Jones to turn inside where ended up getting tackled short of the end zone. The decision was announced on the Steeler’s website.

Tomlin has previous said his actions were a mistake.

"I take full responsibility for my actions, and I apologize for causing negative attention to the Pittsburgh Steelers organization," Tomlin said after receiving the fine. "I accept the penalty that I received."

The Ravens won the game 22-20.
