Before Senior Players at Caves Valley, Daly Heading to the White House

John Daly finishes a round at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills Wednesday

BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF)--- On the eve of the Senior Players Championship at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, contender John Daly is making a quick stop in Washington, D.C. Daly has plans tonight with President Donald Trump, one of his many golf buddies.

Daly finished a round Wednesday, shooting a 57, and then headed down south to visit with President Trump. Daly says while he's sure he isn't playing much golf these days, "He has a good stick. He's pretty good."

Daly is one of 78 seniors playing in tomorrow's Champions Tour Event (PGA Seniors Tour). The Senior Players Championship is the fourth of five majors this season. Two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer won the first two of the season, and Kenny Perry won the U.S. Senior Open July 2nd. Langer has won the Senior Players Championship three straight years at three different courses.

This week marks the return of men's professional golf to the Baltimore area since 2009. Caves Valley Golf Club hosted the LPGA last year.
