BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF)--- Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco didn't have much to say when asked about the tragedy surrounding his friend and former teammate, Todd Heap, and his family. Flacco only offered his condolences and says he plans to meet with Heap and his family soon. As of now, he's only communicated with the former Raven via his current teammate, friend and Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta.

"I'm going to go out there and hopefully spend some time with him and just maybe be a little bit of a distraction in this time," Flacco said. "I have kids myself and it was a tragic accident. He's a friend. Me and my wife just want to be there for them."

Last week, Heap accidentally struck and killed his daughter in the family's driveway in Mesa, Arizona while driving a truck forward. She was the youngest of Heap and his wife Ashley's five children.

Flacco played with Heap for three seasons from 2008-10. Heap spent 10 years with the Ravens, two with the Cardinals and retired from the NFL in 2013. He's the Ravens all-time leader in receptions touchdowns.
