Ravens Up On The Raiders At Halftime, 24-10
BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF)--- In week five, at least for a half, everything is going the Baltimore Ravens (2-2) way through two quarters against the Oakland Raiders (2-2). The Ravens lead the Raiders 24-10.
The Ravens jumped out to an early 14-0 lead. After a quick offensive strike during the first series of the game. Joe Flacco's first pass was for Mike Wallace and good for 52-yards. That set up the two-yard rushing touchdown by tight end Vince Mayle. The Ravens first offensive series was five plays and for a touchdown. The Ravens have been shut out in the first half in back-to-back games prior.
The Ravens defense followed it up with a fumble recovery for a touchdown by cornerback Jimmy Smith. Before the Raiders knew it they were in a 14-point hole in the black hole less than five minutes into the game.
The Ravens are dealing with injuries. Cornerback Smith is sharing snaps and missed some time after his touchdown. Smith has been dealing with an achilles injury. Running back Terrance West left the game and is doubtful to return with a calf injury. Defensive lineman Carl Davis has a hamstring injury.
Running back Buck Allen has a one-yard rushing touchdown. Kicker Justin Tucker is one-for-one in field goal attempts.
