GIVING HOPE | Helping Up Mission director tackles the opioid crisis
BALTIMORE (WBFF) - He's fighting the opioid crisis head-on and giving hundreds of men and their families hope in desperate times.
FOX45's Joy Lambert talked to Tom Bond, program director at Helping Up Mission in downtown Baltimore.
Bond serves as the Mission's director of programs.
Helping Up is a one year addiction recovery program for men experiencing homelessness from substance abuse and mental health issues.
That's because Bond knows what it's like to live behind that mask.
He came in as an addict, and, in the middle of the opioid crisis, he is fighting back. That's why he was selected as the winner of Pay it Forward.
