John has been a reporter at Fox 45 since it launched its 10 o'clock news back in 1991. In his career, he's covered six Maryland Governors as well as ten gubernatorial inaugurations and thousands of public officials (both good and bad!).
John always enjoyed covering William Donald Schaefer as Mayor of Baltimore, Governor and State Comptroller. He's covered numerous major stories from Pope John Paul II's visit to Baltimore to Cal Ripken Junior's induction into Baseball's Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
Baltimore Magazine named John "Baltimore's Best TV Reporter" in 2003.
He's won more than 25 journalism awards including four Capital Region Emmy Awards. John also received three "Dateline Awards" from the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, including one for his coverage of the D.C. area snipers. He's also received two "Gavel Awards" for legal reporting from the Maryland State Bar Association and many awards from the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters.
John is a graduate of Towson University and a past president of the Maryland Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. He and his wife live in Reisterstown. If you have a story idea, please e-mail John (firstname.lastname@example.org)
