Joy Lambert is a Murrow Award winning and Emmy nominated Anchor/Reporter.
She joined Fox45 in November 2016, you can catch her on the Anchor desk on Friday and Saturday nights and reporting weekdays.
Joy is a California native and her career continues to move her further East (much to her parents’ chagrin.) She loves breaking news and telling meaningful stories and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work with some of the bests journalists and photographers in the business at Fox45.
Joy came to Baltimore from WATN in Memphis, TN. There, she was the morning anchor and received several Emmy Nominations, one of which, for a sit-down interview with Barbara Walters on the eve of her retirement from ‘The View.’
In 2016, she won a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Feature Reporting for an in-depth look at the life of the famous Beale Street Flippers.
She has interviewed several celebrities, reported live from the red carpet at the CMA Awards, gone behind the scenes of Good Morning America with Robin Roberts, covered Presidential visits, historic flooding in Memphis, tornadoes and throughout her career she has worked to promote breast cancer awareness and genetic testing, a topic close to her heart.
Joy has also worked at WAKA in Montgomery, AL, KCWY in Casper, WY and KABC in Los Angeles, CA.
Joy grew up in Solvang, a small Southern California town known as “The Danish Capital of the United States“. If you haven’t been there it is a must-see California destination just north of Santa Barbara.
She graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
An avid baseball fan, she named her son ‘Cal’, only fitting to now live in Orioles country.
She and her husband spend their time off chasing their two young boys around and visiting the “big boats” in the Inner Harbor.
Joy is active on Social Media and would love to hear from you.
