Flash flood warning in effect for Baltimore City until 1 a.m.

BALTIMORE (WBFF) -- A flash flood warning is in effect for Baltimore City until 1 a.m., according to the National Weather Service of Baltimore and Washington D.C.

NWS said Baltimore, Pasadena, Brooklyn Park and Lansdowne are expected to experience flooding. Heavy rains were predicted to begin around 10 p.m.

The service also advised drivers to turn around when encountering flooded roads. "Most flood deaths occur in vehicles," NWS wrote in an alert. "Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding."
