BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Is expensive jewelry an appropriate gift or an attempt to buy the influence?

That's the question Crime & Justice reporter Joy Lepola is trying to get answered, after discovering expensive gifts given to a top city official.

We're investigating the gifts given to the city's top prosecutor, Marilyn Mosby, after the Baltimore Brew reported on free travel she received.

Mosby had recently amended her financial disclosure forms filed with the state after being warned members of the media were reviewing her eithics forms.

It was shortly after she received that warning she disclosed three newly created limited-liability corporations (LLCs), one of which is a travel company - which piqued our interest, considering the amount of free travel the city state’s attorney has received since being in office.

That travel is among the only gifts we found Mosby attaching a price tag to.

A Tiffany's bracelet, two pearl necklaces, a Tablet and a Marucci rubbed baseball bat are just a few of the nearly 200 gifts Baltimore's top prosecutor listed on financial disclosure forms she's filed since taking office.

We began to question the State's Attorney about those gifts. She's declined to sit down face to face for an interview.
