1 driver killed, 3 passengers injured in White Marsh crash

WHITE MARSH, Md. (WBFF)- Baltimore County Police are investigating a car crash in White Marsh that left one man dead.

On Tuesday, December 1, before 10:30 p.m., officers from the White Marsh Precinct responded to Belair Road and Virginia Avenue, 21236 reports of a serious injury crash.

The crash involved two vehicles, a 2017 Hyundai and a 2019 Volkswagen.

The victim and driver of the Volkswagen 54- year-old, Eddie Louis Bibbs, was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The three passengers in the Hyundai were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver did not report any injuries. 

The preliminary investigation revealed that the Hyundai was heading southbound on Belair Road when the driver of the Volkswagen attempted to make a left turn onto north Belair Road from Virginia Avenue. The Hyundai struck the Volkswagen on the driver's side. 

Bibbs later succumbed to his injuries on December 7. 

The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team is continuing their work to determine all of the factors involved in this fatal crash.
