BALTIMORE (WBFF) -- Smoke can travel a long way! Just take a look at a photo of milky, white skies I snapped yesterday at my kids' tennis lesson in Towson!
Winds out of Canada that typically would usher in bright and sunny weather for us, are actually ushering in some smoke from the Western U.S. wildfires.
Therefore, through the day, although it'll be mainly sunny, but we could also contend with some haze from time to time. Luckily, though, the smoke should be high up in the atmosphere at jet stream level... too high to cause any air quality issues. Highs will be about ten degrees below average for our Tuesday afternoon, near 70.
Over the next day or so, the pattern looks to change little, so we'll stay with another chilly night tonight. Lows will dip into the 40s and 50s in most neighborhoods.
Highs will only reach the 70s under sunshine, and perhaps again some haze, Wednesday, as well, as our upper-level winds continue to come in our of the west and northwest.
By later Thursday into the early weekend, though, we may see a pattern change as eyes turn south to Sally. At least some of the moisture could, perhaps, head our way along an approaching cold front, depending on the system's eventual track late Thursday and Friday, and maybe even Saturday.
