WEATHER WATCH
Western wildfires affecting atmosphere on the East Coast

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Our Monday weather-maker is a strong cold front!

Tuesday, as we stay in Canadian air, we’ll remain mostly sunny, but highs will be refreshingly cool, close to 70 the first time we’ve been that cool since a high of 67 back on May 24. On a side note, you may also notice a little haze in our skies, as well... In fact that's some smoke being carried east upstairs in the atmosphere on the jet stream.

Tuesday night and Wednesday, the fall-feel will continue. We’ll start Wednesday again with lows near 50, but under partly cloudy skies, make it to 76 during the afternoon. Again, there could be some haze, too.

Our next weather-maker, a cold front, will move in later Thursday into Friday with clouds and showers. Highs Thursday will be close to 80, with a cooler 72 for Friday as the front sags through. Computer models also hint at the potential of some of the leftover moisture from Sally getting involved with the front to varying extents and intensities. The European Computer Model and latest run of the North American Computer Model run are most widespread and heaviest with the moisture, with the American GFS Computer Model least involved, so that is also something to watch.

Saturday, the European Computer Model still hold in some rain with the front and Sally leftovers, while the American GFS Computer Model punches the front well south will full sunshine. For now, until the forecast trends become clearer, we’ll add in a few clouds and an isolated sprinkle.

It’ll be back to dry sunshine and autumnal weather again Sunday and Monday with highs in the upper 60s to wrap-up the weekend and 70 to 75 to usher in the new week.
