Digital Detox: Could you do it?
BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Imagine this, no texting, no social media, no games and no internet for one whole week. Could you do it?
If you're like the 92% of adults in the United States, you have a cell phone and if you're like 90% of them, your cell phone is probably on you right now. That's according to the Pew Research Center, but the question is; have you crossed the line from casual use to dependency...to maybe even abuse?
Therapist Desyree Dixon says there's an easy way to know if you have problem. "If you say to yourself I'm going to this sporting event for my child or this show and during that time, i'm going to leave my phone in car or turn it off, can you make it through that time without having anxiety without the need to check?"
