Disgraced GTTF Member sentenced to 7 years

BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- A fourth member of the BPD's disbanded Gun Trace Task Force has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison.

Maurice Ward was given the sentence by a federal judge Friday afternoon.

Earlier Friday, Evodio Hendrix was also given a seven year sentence.

Members of the GTTF are accused of robbing people and stealing money, narcotics and property as well as overtime fraud.

Ward and Hendrix both took plea deals. Hendrix testified during the trial of Detective Daniel Hersl and Marcus Taylor in January.

Thursday, the unit's leader Wayne Jenkins was given 25 years behind bars, Marcus Taylor was given an 18 year sentence.
