BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A 16-year-old boy was shot while inside a store Tuesday evening.
According to police, just before 5:30 p.m., officers were flagged down by a shooting victim in the 1800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
Police observed the teenage victim with gunshot wounds to the left forearm. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The boy told police he was inside Mama's Place when an unknown suspect shot his firearm from outside the store, through the window, striking him.
The suspect then fled on foot.
On Monday, the mayor attended a Summer of Peace rally hosted by We Our Us, just blocks from the shooting scene.
Western District shooting detectives are investigating this incident and are asking anyone with information to call 410-396-2477 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.
