2 MURDERS, 2 HOURS, 1 MILE APART| City Police investigate overnight shootings

BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- Baltimore City Police are investigating the murders of two men who were shot and killed overnight Monday, just blocks apart.

On July 31, 2018 at approximately 12:15 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 1100 block of Washington Blvd for a report of a shooting.

Upon officers arrival they located a 25 year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

Two hours later, at approximately 2:15 a.m., officers were called to the 300 block of South Monroe Street for a report of a shooting.

On scene police found a 25 year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and shoulder.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he also died.

Police tell FOX45 the victim was standing inside a restaurant in the 300 block of South Monroe Street when he was approached by a suspect, and shot.
