VIOLENT NIGHT| 5 Women Shot; Man & Woman Killed in Double Murder

BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- Baltimore City Police are investigating a violent night where 6 people were shot, 2 fatally. Five women were among the victims.

On July 1, 2019, at approximately 11:14 p.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to the 1200 block of East Preston Street for a report of a shooting.

On scene officers found 20 year-old woman and a 26 year-old woman with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. They were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Officers were then notified of two walk-in shooting victims at a hospital. Once at that location, officers found a 23 and a 22 year-old female, also suffering from non fatal gunshot wounds.

Preliminary investigation revealed that an unidentified suspect approached the group of females, while in the 1200 block of North Luzerne Avenue, and began shooting.

They are expected to survive, police have not released a motive or any suspect information.

Three hours later at approximately 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 1200 block of Bloomingdale for a report of a shooting.

Once at the location, officers located an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso.

Both victims were transported to area hospitals where they were both pronounced deceased.
