BALTIMORE, Md (WBFF) -- A correctional officer is recovering after being shot around 9:30 p.m. on Friday.
Officers responded to the 400 block of 29th Division Street near Madison Park for a reported shooting.
On scene, officers located a 52-year-old female correctional officer suffering from a gunshot wound to her left shoulder.
Police were able to determine the victim was driving a Department of Corrections van when she heard a gunshot.
According to authorities, the victim felt a burning sensation in her shoulder when she realized she had been shot.
Police say, the correctional officer did not see who fired the shot.
She was transported to an area hospital where she is listed in good condition.
