BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Seven people were shot, two of them fatally, within about three hours in a spate of violence across Baltimore Thursday evening.
That makes for a total of nine people shot in the city total on Thursday, as two daytime shootings were reported in Waverly and Pigtown.
At 5:20 p.m., a man was shot in the area of Shirley Avenue and Park Heights Avenue; his age was not provided.
He was taken to an area hospital, where he died.
At 6:10 p.m., a triple shooting injured three people in east Baltimore's Lanvale and Bond streets.
A 31-year-old man was shot in the foot; a 23-year-old woman was shot in the leg; and a 19-year-old woman was shot in the stomach.
At about 7:25 p.m., a 19-year-old man was shot on Old York Road near 36th Street in the Pen Lucy/Waverly area.
He was shot in the leg and taken to a hospital.
A walk-in shooting victim was reported at an area hospital at about 7:30 p.m.
He is believed to have been on Baker Street near Rosedale Street in south Baltimore.
Homicide detectives were called to investigate due to the severity of his injuries.
At about 8:30 p.m., officers heard gunshots in the area of Belmont Avenue and Bloomingdale Road, near the Baker/Rosedale shooting.
A 33-year-old man was found shot.
He was taken to an area hospital and died.
