9 shot, 3 dead over violent Baltimore City weekend

As of Sunday morning, nine people have been shot in Baltimore City, three of those victims have died.

According to police, five people were shot late Saturday night into early Sunday.

Police responded to the first homicide around 11 p.m. Saturday in East Baltimore.

The 27-year-old victim was found on Valley Street near Ashland Court.

The second shooting Saturday night, around 11:10, was a double homicide in SW Baltimore.

The victims, a 37-year-old man and 21-year-old woman, were located on Edmondson Avenue near Lyndhurst Street.

Officials in NE Baltimore were called around 11:30 p.m. to Harford Road and East 25th Street.

On scene, they located a 19-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was transported to the hospital. No word on his condition.

Around 2 a.m Sunday, police responded to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim.

Police believe the 31-year-old woman was shot in the area of Howard and Preston Streets.

They say she may have been involved in a dispute prior to the shooting.

A man was also shot in the hand Saturday afternoon on York Road.

Three others were shot late Friday night into early Saturday morning, including a 44-year-old woman.
