American Visionary Art Museum holds 20th annual kinetic sculpture race
BALTIMORE -- WBFF -- They crawl on land, they float in the water, and they took over Baltimore city Saturday morning.
24 amphibious, human-powered floats participated in the 20th annual Kinetic Sculpture Race, sponsored by the American Visionary Art Museum.
The floats- most of them moving thanks to human on bikes- must trek 14 miles throughout the city, starting in Federal Hill. The halfway point is marked by a dip in the harbor, wrapping around a small pier in the Canton Waterfront Park. The whole event concludes with a mud race in Patterson Park.
This year's featured theme was "Mysteries and Tall Tales"- floats varied from space ships to railcars to row homes and more.
