Arrest made in Highlandtown barbershop murder

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - A Baltimore man has been charged in a fatal shooting inside a Highlandtown barbershop on Eastern Avenue last month.

Sammie Carroll, 29, is accused of being one of two gunmen in what was apparently a shootout on Feb. 19 at His & Her Perfection Barbershop.

Carroll walked into Johns Hopkins Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds shortly after the shooting.

Detectives ultimately identified him as one of the suspects in the crime, which ended in Andreas Tamaris, 47, being fatally shot and another man being shot in the hand.

Carroll's address is listed in online court records as North Paca Street in the Mt. Vernon area.

Carroll was taken to Central Booking on March 13 and charged with first-degree murder. He is being held without bond.
