A Baltimore man was arrested Tuesday after police said he randomly shot two people last month at a gas station in Northwest Baltimore.

Joseph Moulden, 47, faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, reckless endangerment, assault and weapons violations.

Police said Moulden shot a 37-year-old man and a 22-year-old man around 4 a.m. on April 30 at the gas station in the 5100 block of Reisterstown Road. Police said the men were buying gas for their cars and were not the intended targets.

One victim was shot in the arm while the other was shot in the leg.

Police said Moulden had been fighting with another person on the block and began shooting randomly, striking the two men. Moulden was also wounded during the shooting, but police said it was unclear whether Moulden shot himself or was wounded by someone else.

Moulden fled the scene and later took himself to a hospital for treatment, police said. Moulden has a lengthy criminal record. In 2002, he was found guilty of second-degree murder.

Moulden is being held atCentral Booking and Intake Center in downtown Baltimore.
