BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Baltimore's new acting police commissioner, Michael Harrison, held the first in a series of public meetings Monday night.
Mayor Catherine Pugh introduced her pick to be the city's next top cop.
FOX45's Alexa Ashwell said Harrison fielded questions and heard concerns from at least 24 residents who spoke in northwest Baltimore's Forest Park High School.
The questions centered around crime-fighting practices, deployment strategies, community policing, police training, and reform and morale within the department, as well as his plan to rebuild the relationship between community and police in Baltimore.
"We are here and committed to addressing these issues," said Harrison afterward. "It was good to hear from this Group of residents who live here and some who came from across the city. With this information I can go back and organize a plan .... address these issues.”
