PIKESVILLE, Md. (WBFF) - Drivers in the Pikesville area should prepare for big delays between Feb. 11 and April.
Reisterstown Road will be partly closed between I-695 and Hooks Lane for a BGE upgrade project. About 55,000 vehicles travel that section of Reisterstown Road daily, according to a State Highway Administration press release.
An open house about the project is being held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight at Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company on East Sudbrook Lane.
The left-turn lane from Reisterstown Road to Hooks Lane will be closed. One lane of Reisterstown Road for northbound drivers will also be closed between 695 and Hooks Lane.
Drivers headed south on Reisterstown Road will be detoured onto I-695, east onto Park Heights Avenue.
A bus stop on Reisterstown Road at the Exxon gas station will temporarily be discontinued.
