BALTIMORE (WBFF) — In 2017, the Trump Administration launched the Victim of Immigration Crime Engagement office, also known as VOICE.
It was started to provide assistance for victims of crimes committed by illegal immigrants.
When the office launched, then President Trump referred to the murders of two California sheriff's deputies, killed by a man from Mexico in the country illegally.

Here, and closer to home, the name Kyla Hamilton is in the heart and mind of her mother, Tammy Nobles.
Kyla was killed by a known MS-13 gang member, who was once arrested at the border.
“He was a known gang member, who was listed in El Salvador, and he should never have been able to come in," Nobles said.
Her accused killer is only 17 years old.
According to the U.S. Customs and Border patrol website, there are thousands of crimes that lead to the arrest of illegal immigrants each year.

In 2022, 62 arrests were made for homicides throughout the country.
Kayla Hamilton was also sexually assaulted, along with 365 other victims in 2022, by someone illegally in the country.
Tammy Nobles has a strong message for President Biden.
“We need to protect everyone living here, everyone. Because it could have been anyone’s daughter. And we have to protect everyone here and not let known gang members come in here, not let known gang members come in and commit those horrific crimes," said Nobles.
