BPD: Undercover unit of 'young-looking officers' to target juvenile crime
BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis announced some new policing strategies Monday after a rash of violent juvenile attacks, often in groups, across the city.
Davis said a new undercover unit of "young-looking" officers will be used to target juvenile crime, reported FOX45's Keith Daniels.
Davis took part in a safety walk for south Baltimore's Federal Hill/Riverside community Monday evening.
He told the crowd: "I know why you're here tonight: Because you are fed up, you are frustrated, you are disappointed, and we share every one of those emotions."
Davis also said: "Our resolve to improve public safety, as it relates to these violent, juvenile, repeat offenders, is something that I know will be stronger after tonight."
