    Great Mills High on Lockdown as Precaution; School to dismiss early

    BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- UPDATE: Police say the shooting suspect they were searching for, Elijah Miguel Miles has been located and apprehended outside of St. Mary's County.

    The St. Mary's County Sheriff's office is investigating reports of an armed person near Great Mills High School.

    The school was placed on lockdown.

    The office posted that they were currently seeking the whereabouts of 17-year-old Elijah Miguel Miles.


    Police say Miles is wanted in connection to a shooting that occurred in the Hickory Hills neighborhood on December 4, 2018.

    Miles was reportedly seen in the area of Great Mills High School Wednesday, which led to the school being placed on lockdown as a precaution to ensure safety to students and faculty of the school.

    No injuries have been reported.

    School officials say they will dismiss the High School early.

    In March, two students were shot, one fatally when a student opened fire inside Great Mills High School.
