BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- The $275,000 contract has been approved for Michael Harrison, he will become Acting Commissioner of the Baltimore Police Department on Monday.
The contract was approved at Wednesday's Board of Estimates Meeting at City Hall.
Harrison still needs City Council Confirmation but City Council President Jack Young believes he will be confirmed.
Young says the $65,000 raise Harrison is receiving compared to his predecessor is justified considering the challenge of the job.
Michael Harrison's contract says he can receive bonuses for certain crime reductions. The contract doesn’t say what those measures are.
