DOUBLE SHOOTING| One dead in SW Baltimore, SWAT searches for suspect

BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- Baltimore City Police are on the scene of a double shooting in Southwest Baltimore.

Two men were shot just before 8am Thursday in the 1100 block of DeSoto Road. Police say one car pulled up next to another and opened fire.

An officer witnessed the suspect firing at the victims, the officer pursued the suspect's car which then crashed into a tractor trailer.

Police say the suspect jumped out of the car and ran, police lost him in the general area.

An officer was able to provide a description of the suspect.

Both victims were rushed to area hospitals for treatment.

Homicide Detectives are investigating.

Around 9:30am, police confirmed that the shooting is now fatal. One victim died, the other has non-life threatening injuries.

Police are actively searching for the suspect.

SWAT units are on scene according to Baltimore Police.

Residents are being told to stay indoors.

Police put out a description of the suspect as a Black male, 5’11” shoulder length dreads no shirt, blue jeans, medium complexion, Early 20s.

City and State Police as well as SWAT units continue to scour the area. Police believe the suspect is still in the vicinity.

Police say drugs were found in the victim's car and they believe the incident was targeted.
