ABERDEEN, Md. (WBFF) - Aberdeen firefighters helped rescue a "lifeless" cat as they battled a house fire Tuesday evening.

The Aberdeen police department said on Facebook that paramedics and firefighters came across "an injured & lifeless cat, who was the beloved pet of the homeowners."

Crews had responded to a house fire on Paradise Road.

The paramedic "was able to successfully revive the cat after several minutes of hard work! Great job Aberdeen FD & Paramedic Hoag," wrote the police department.
