BALTIMORE (WBFF) A code blue is in effect and a winter shelter status is active through Monday at 8:00 a.m. in Baltimore.
The Mayor's Office of Human Services is monitoring shelter utilization and if existing facilities reach full capacity, M.O.H.S. will active an additional overflow shelter that can accommodate families, adults and unaccompanied minors.
People experiencing unsheltered homelessness can access overflow shelter and transportation:
-Adult only households: Weinberg Housing and Resource Center, 620 Fallsway, Baltimore, MD.
-Families with minor children: call 410-627-4280 for shelter and transportation availability.
People can access real time information on the M.O.H.S. website, or call 311, 211, or Baltimore Crisis Response at 410-433-5175 to find out how to access shelter.
People in need of language translation are encouraged to call 211 to receive winter shelter information.
