Councilman demands action for Hanover Street Bridge
BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF) -- One of Baltimore’s most scenic bridges is becoming one of the most troubled.
The century-old Hanover Street Bridge has long been the source of complaints from motorists who complain about the deepening potholes and crumbling concrete on the bridge.
City Councilman Eric Costello is demanding the city re-deck the bridge immediately.
Although a team of paid consultants is now studying whether to repair or replace the bridge, Costello says repairs must happen immediately.
“We’re done planning,” said Costello. “We need to stop talking about filling potholes, we need the entire concrete surface re-decked and we need it done immediately.”
