COUNTY CRIME | Armed robbery at White Marsh Mall; Pizza driver tackled by Columbia robber
BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF) - Violent crime in Baltimore County and Howard County included an armed robbery outside White Marsh Mall and several assaults in Columbia.
At 6:40 p.m., two "known suspects" robbed someone of a necklace in the parking lot of White Marsh Mall, on Perry Hall Boulevard at Honeygo Boulevard, according to Baltimore County police reports.
The suspects are known to police, according to the report.
At 7:01 p.m., a woman was assaulted by an another woman she knows, on Watch Chain Way at Hickory Ridge Road in Columbia, according to Howard County police reports.
The suspect stole cash from the victim; police say the incident may have been drug-related.
At 1 a.m. on Aug. 18, two "known suspects" pointed a long gun at someone in a vehicle in Essex, on Old Eastern Avenue near Hopkins Landing Drive.
The suspects yelled at the victim, then walked back inside their apartment building, said police.
They were later arrested.
At 9:40 p.m. that day, three people robbed a convenience store in Carney, on Joppa Road near Ridgely Avenue.
They were armed and robbed Quick Stop Food Mart of cash and cigarettes.
At 9:56 p.m. that day, a man was delivering pizza in Columbia, on Flicker Place at Tamar Drive when someone approached and tackled him.
A second suspect took cash from the victim's pocket; both suspects then fled with the pizza order.
No one was seriously hurt.
The suspects are described only as a black male with a thin build and a blue, hooded jacket, and a black male with an average build and a white shirt.
At 2:36 p.m. on Aug. 19, someone was robbed at gunpoint by an acquaintance on Tamar Drive at Silver Trumpet Drive in Columbia.
The victim said he was giving the acquaintance a ride when the other man implied he had a weapon and demanded his watch.
The victim complied and the suspect fled.
