    COUNTY CRIME | Shot fired in Columbia; armed robberies in Parkville & Catonsville

    BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Recent violent crimes in Baltimore County and Howard County include shots fired in Columbia and armed robberies in Parkville and Catonsville.

    Shots were reported fired at 5:22 p.m. Jan. 15 on Bridlerein Terrace, off of Hickory Ridge Road, according to Howard County police.

    Police recovered a bullet casing at the site. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.

    In the Hillendale area of Parkville, someone was robbed while walking at Hillsway and Taylor avenues at 7 p.m. on Jan. 14.

    The victim was approached by an armed suspect who stole her cell phone, purse, wallet and other items before fleeing, said Baltimore County police.

    In Catonsville that same day, two people, one armed with a gun, robbed someone at Shell gas station on Frederick Road near Sanford Avenue.

    The suspects demanded the victim's property, got it and fled.

    In Randallstown, a known suspect threatened someone with a gun at 7:17 p.m. Jan. 14.

    The suspect arrived on Bryony Road near Bruno Road and saw an argument between two people. The suspect pulled out a gun and put it to the head of one of the victims, "advising the victim to leave."

    Police said the suspect was later arrested.
