2 injured after Middle River crash with school bus & police car

MIDDLE RIVER, Md. (WBFF) - One police officer and one student were taken to hospitals after a three-vehicle crash involving a police car and a Parkville High School bus Friday, confirmed Baltimore County officials.

The officer in the police car was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, and one student was also taken to Franklin Square Hospital with minor injuries.

The accident happened at Martin Boulevard at Middle River Road at about 2:59 p.m.

Medical crews were evaluating seven people on the bus, including five students and two adults.

The Parkville student was being evaluated for trouble breathing.

The police car was originally responding to a three-vehicle accident (one of which caught fire) on Martin Boulevard at Windless Drive (two people were taken to hospitals with unknown injuries in that crash), said county police.

The police car struck the Parkville High bus, which then struck another vehicle. The person in that vehicle was not injured.

The intersection and surrounding area remains shut down.
