ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WBFF0 - The Naval Academy has been investigating drug use at the institution for 2 1/2 months, according to an announcement Tuesday.
"The Naval Academy and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service recently initiated a command-assisted investigation in Annapolis after receiving a midshipman report of alleged recreational drug use within the Brigade," reported public affairs officer Commander David Mckinney.
The statement said the investigation has been ongoing for 2 1/2 months and the results are still pending.
"The Navy has a zero tolerance for drug abuse and takes all allegations of misconduct very seriously," said the statement.
No further details were immediately available.
