Dundalk woman killed trying to cross street

DUNDALK, Md. (WBFF) - A 64-year-old Dundalk woman was fatally struck by a car while trying to cross Lynch Road during rush hour Wednesday, reported Baltimore County police Thursday.

Georgia Mae Elizabeth Pleasant, of Center Place, was crossing Lynch Road at about 6:15 p.m., in the area of Barry Road, said police.

The preliminary investigation shows a white, 2008 Nissan Versa traveling west on Lynch struck her as Pleasant tried to cross in front of westbound traffic.

She was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead shortly after.

The incident remains under investigation.
