Fire causes $400k in damages to Old Town Grill in Hampstead


CARROLL COUNTY, MD (WBFF) The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office says that no one was injured in a fire that happened at Old Town Grill in Hampstead, early Saturday morning.

According to officials, around 1:00 a.m., 65 firefighters responded to a two alarm fire on South Main Street, after being dispatched from the restaurant's security system. The fire took 40 minutes to place under control.

The estimated loss of the building was $300,000, while the estimated loss of its contents was $100,000.

Both the cause of the fire, along with where the fire started, is under investigation.
