    HELP FIND | Hit-&-run driver who fatally struck a pedestrian in west Baltimore

    BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Baltimore police are asking for help finding a driver who fatally struck a 60-year-old man in west Baltimore, then fled the scene, earlier this month.

    The hit-and-run happened at about 5:07 p.m. Jan. 3. on West Baltimore Street in the Lexington neighborhood.

    Anthony Zakroski, 60, was hit by a black sedan while crossing the road. The car, possibly a black Nissan Maxima or Altima, was headed north on South Calverton Road.

    Police released surveillance footage of the incident Thursday.

    The car appears to have a sunroof, tinted windows and fog lights.

    After stopping at the stop sign at South Calverton and Baltimore streets, the Nissan turns right onto West Baltimore Street, striking Anthony Zakroski.

    The Nissan stopped briefly, but then sped away east on West Baltimore Street.

    Zakroski was taken to Shock Trauma and ultimately passed away as a result of his injuries on Jan. 17.

    Video of the incident shows a group of onlookers that appear to record the car on their camera-phones as it speeds away.
