Hillary Clinton speaks at Baltimore fundraiser, mentions recent terror attacks
BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Hillary Clinton visited Baltimore tonight and spoke out about recent terrorist attacks.
Clinton, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, spoke at a fundraiser for a youth program that sponsors high school students to study in Israel.
The event was held at the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park in Fells Point. This was the first time Clinton has spoken publicly in Maryland since April of last year, when she was running for president.
Among her remarks, Clinton talked about the deadly terrorist attacks in London and Manchester.
"We're only a few hours, really, from another terrorist attack in London. And not long before that, one in Manchester. And I know you join with me in extending our sympathy and strength to the victims, their families and our appreciation to the police, the first responders and courageous citizens who stepped up to help each other," said Clinton.
Clinton says she believes now is the time for the United States to strengthen the relationships with its allies.
The youth program is sponsored by Congressman Elijah Cummings and the Baltimore Jewish Council.
