Kashi Trail Mix Chewy Granola Bars recalled due to Listeria concerns
LANDOVER, Md. (WBFF) -- Giant Food has announced the removal of Kashi Trail Mix Chewy Granola Bars from it's stores due to possible contamination of Listeria monocytogenes.
Giant stores has so far received no reports of illnesses to date. The product, owned by the Kashi Company, should be discarded by consumers and customers should bring their purchase receipt for a full refund.
Consuming food containing Listeria can cause listeriosis, which can be a fatal disease. Listeriosis can cause high fever. severe headache, neck stiffness, and nausea along with sometimes fatal infections.
