KORRYN GAINES TRIAL | Son brought to court
TOWSON, Md. (WBFF) – The seventh day of the civil trial against Baltimore County police in the shooting death of Korryn Gaines focused on Gaines’ surviving son, Kodi.
Kodi’s paternal grandmother took the stand Wednesday, describing the trauma, nightmares, and mood swings he experienced since the Aug. 1, 2016 incident that killed his mother and wounded him. Kodi Gaines was shot in the arm and face during the standoff.
Lawyers for the Gaines family brought Kodi into court Wednesday afternoon to show his injuries to the jury.
Baltimore County psychiatrist Dr. Stephen Siebert testified Wednesday Kodi was diagnosed with multiple traumatic disorders.
Judge Mickey Norman confirmed Wednesday a juror broke her ankle arriving at the courthouse in icy conditions. The jury is down to one alternate.
